Summer Camp by #Agent12

In summer camp we can basically do what we want. We go on field trips every Tuesday and Thursday. In the next grade we go on field trips everyday, but we can stay if we want. There is a pool and a splash pad, but the splash pad is trash. Lunch is usually horrible because the tables are always wet no matter how hot it is. And at the end of the day we have to sit and sing songs for the first graders, and we have to sit in the sun with no water and only that to just go to the drop off area we have to walk a hill. The walk to the pool is like Five minutes in the sun. Kids wear towels around their head not minding some bags are 10 pounds. When we go to the woods it’s either arts and crafts, which is horrible; all the tables are wet. We also have archery, which is okay, or fort building which is the best. That's why in survival week we go to the woods first. Fridays are good and bad because we have to do a singing challenge, trivia, or condiments trivia. We sit in the sun and cook while three kids have fun. Also we get lollipops that sound childish, but we treat it like currency.

Fun facts about Michael Jackson final by #Agent9

For the final time fun facts about Michael Jackson final. I hope you enjoy it!

  • Super Bowl halftime performance

In 1993 the Super Bowl halftime performance was Michael Jackson, and it’s the most viewed halftime performance. This is the moment where he iconically stood there for 2 minutes just standing there. This happened because Michael talked to the owner of the NFL at the time he said, “I control the show once I take off my glasses: the show starts.”

Michael Jackson Super Bowl Complete Version HQ

  • When did he start making his music

Michael Jackson Started making music at 6 years old In Garry, Indiana. His dad would beat him and his brothers until they were perfect.

  • Michael Jackson wanted to audition for Spider Man .

Yep Michael was a big fan of Spider Man and Marvel comics. He even thought about buying Sony, so he would acquire the role. I think it’s funny imaging Michael in a Spider Man suit.

What I Will Miss About Elementary School And What I Am Looking Forward To In 6th Grade by #Agent17

I will miss a lot about elementary school when I go to 6th grade but I am looking forward to some things also. Some things I will miss are my teachers, recess, and being on the back of the bus because I will be one of the youngest kids in the new school, so I won’t get to sit in the back anymore. I am not looking forward to getting detention for forgetting your lanyard and having to wear a lanyard all the time. I am looking forward to getting out of school at 1:30 pm instead of 2:25 pm. I am not looking forward to waking up at 6:00 am. I will miss getting the Bentley award because I don’t think the middle school has that. I am looking forward to being able to explore the school when walking from class to class. I am looking forward to having my own locker to keep all my stuff in. I am looking forward to having a Spanish class, and I have already been practicing Spanish with Duolingo. Most of all I will miss my fifth grade class and teacher. My fifth grade teacher taught me so much about how to be confident when speaking in front of a group of people. She taught me about math, science, and history. She also taught me how important it is to treat other people with respect. These are all the things I am going to miss about elementary school and all the things I am looking forward to about 6th grade.

My fifth grade year by #Agent14

I had the best fifth grade year. This year my class and  I have done a lot of fun things like projects and experiments. Here are a couple reasons why I had the best fifth grade year. This year I did projects like DQ’s, which are presentations about something or someone. We also are doing a project on the Rules of the Red Rubber Ball. Some experiments that we did were testing how much light would be on each planet and what planet we can send a rover to. Another experiment that we did early in the year is we tried to make something that lets you listen to what someone is saying. Example: My group used a plant that would go in the middle of the table then we put little mirrors on the side so you can lip read what the people are saying. Another thing that made this school year so great was the activities. A couple activities that we did was we would go outside sometimes to play four squares. Another thing is extra recces, and a science lesson in a big blow up circle thing. That is all about my awesome fifth grade year.

What is slap soccer? by #Agent22

One day I was randomly thinking about ga ga ball, and then I realized I could make up my own version. I called it slap soccer. Slap soccer is when you are on the ground, and you are not allowed to stand. You can play with two or more people depending on how big the room is you are playing in. You use a small ball, then slap the ball across the room and try to hit the wall a foot and a half up, but no higher. When a ball rolls around the room there is no out of bounds, but while playing you can't get up unless the ball rolls out of the room or on to a high object. You have to slap or hit it with any of your limbs, but you can throw the ball. I normally play this game in my bedroom. But you can play this game in an open room with not a lot of breakable things. Hopefully that was a good example of what slap soccer sounds like. I really like playing slap soccer because it is fun, and it is a good way to get energy out without going outside when it is way too hot.

More Urban Legends For You by #Agent19

Gozu ("Cow Head"):Gozu is said to be a skinny man with a cow head instead of a normal human head. His backstory is said to start in 1776 with his mother, called Hasouchi, and her son Masawka in the dead of winter. Since it was cold in Japan at the time, Masawka’s, or Gozu’s, father had an old cow. Before the father passed he told Hasouchi and Masawka that they are to slice open the cow and sleep in it every winter but to never take it out in the summer or else bad things will happen to them. The mother and son were so happy with the cow and finally sliced it open. Then they cut a hole out of the head and the eyes. After that they cleaned the body and stuffed it up with the fur of foxes, making it all nice and cozy for them. The mother and son loved this so much because they didn’t have much money, and they lived in an old broken hut that wasn’t warm enough to survive in. When summer rolled around they relied on the weather to keep them warm. Until one day in the summer a cold breeze came. Afraid of hypothermia they went to the cow, but when they got in it they blacked out. They woke to find that their hut was no longer standing. When they went into the cow head they saw a man with an axe. Sadly he chopped the mother’s head off. The son got away. Later that night the man with the axe started coughing up something black and white. With his bodyguards surrounding him, he finally coughed the whole cow head up. The cow head started rolling around on the ground until it chose one of the body guards. It put its own head on the bodyguard, and that bodyguard wasn’t able to get the head off. That is how Gozu was made.

Moving on by #Agent21

Last weekend I’ve been thinking about what it is like to move on to a different school. Currently I am the oldest in my school, so I know the school the most and have adjusted to it. Now that school is almost over I will go to a bigger school that I don’t know at all.  I will also be the youngest grade there and have to learn another school. If you are already  done with school, if you start a new job it is like going to a different school. When somebody is assigned to a new job they have to adapt and learn how to do that job. There are a lot of good things about being the oldest or the best at something. You know more about the school than any other grade, you get to sit in the back of the bus, and you can sometimes get benefits that the littler kids don’t get. Some of the benefits are that we can talk quietly in line, we go on a really cool field trip, and overall just easier to be there.

I then realized that there are many times over your school life that this will happen; elementary school to middle school, middle school to high school, and high school to college or a job. This can be scary and challenging, but it can also be fun and exciting at the same time. Even though it is scary at first, it is a chance to learn new things, make more friends, and make more good memories.

For one last tip I can give if you are doing something new, just think about the fun because that is what really matters.

Summer 2K26 by #Agent16

Agent 16 here, and I am happy. This is because summer is almost here. School is almost over. These are what my first two weeks of summer look like so far. Week 1oneis the week that I go up to Maine for a camp at Trewergy Family Orchards. There are so many fun things to do there. You can catch frogs, go for hayrides, and my personal favorite, PLAY WITH BABY GOATS! We also get to eat donuts and make pizza and butter-milk biscuits. It is awesome. Oh yeah we also collect eggs from chickens. You have to be in the camp to do all of that. We stay with my grandparents, and they have chickens too. We collect eggs from their chickens too. The second week is when we stay in a vacation house on a lake and rent a pontoon boat. We go fishing, and I have caught so many fish! We also go on boat rides. It is super fun because we get to go fishing off the boat. Sometimes I drive the boat. We go for sunset rides too. I also go kayaking with my dad. One of our favorite things to do is look for bald eagles that nest around the lake. Those are what my first two weeks of summer look like. This has been a fun experience blogging as this is my final blog. Bye!

My Interesting Soccer Game by #Agent11

For this last blog I will be talking about my weekend and the events that occurred during it. So first I had a soccer game on Saturday as usual. But this time it was on a turf field where the ball moves faster. Also it was raining; almost pouring. You could not even hear if there was an old man snoring while it rained. And while this happened my glasses were broken, and it was cold out. In addition, nobody drank any water because it was just more water to the already surrounding pond forming around parts of the field. I wish I was out of the game a little to feed the ducks in the pond that had just doubled in size in just 5 minutes! But besides that we had an interesting game. For starters the other team scored a goal first, which I would have been sad about if she hadn't scored in her own net! Yes this girl found a way to score on herself. I honestly did not think that could happen. After that we all had donuts and hot chocolate, which was quite an exquisite palate. After that we ended up winning 2-0! Right after the game was done it was just a parade of people scrambling to the cars. Basically pure havoc but we got home and took a nap for like 30 minutes. And that's all about my interesting soccer game. Thanks for reading. P.S did you know that even if it's very windy that the wind can't hold you! I know like this is so confusing that instead of catching me the wind let me face plants on a turf field! I guess the wind just does not like me.

Things I Did For My Birthday by #Agent3

I remember on my 5th birthday I had a party with all my aunts and uncles on an iPad because it was during the pandemic, and I still had lots of fun. I was happy to see my family. I'm happy that my other birthdays I had were in person.

On my 6th birthday I celebrated with friends and had a fairy slime party, and I felt like I was a queen. I love that I got to be with my friends for a birthday party.

I remember on my 7th birthday we had a face painter and had a big cake, and it was so much fun. After my birthday party with all my friends we also did a birthday party with my neighbors, and they surprised me with another cake.I had a huge sugar rush. I could not fall asleep that night. It was so nice and so sweet that they did that.

On my 8th birthday we had a water balloon fight, and I had my neighbor help with my birthday party. After the water balloon fight we went back to my house, and we did some nails and then had dinner. The cake was an ice cream unicorn cake; the one I always wanted. We then had a movie night and after everyone left.

On my 9th birthday I had a huge slumber party with three friends. My birthday was very fun because it was my last birthday in Virginia until I had to move. My birthday fell on the same day as my school field trip to the zoo, so it kind of reminded me of my first birthday when I went to the zoo. On my 10th birthday I had a few of my friends over. We played lots of games, went to the salon and got our toes done, and I had a rainbow cake that was made out of cupcakes. There was a lot of frosting but I still liked them. Another activity that we did is we designed our own sunglasses with beads, letters and hot glue sticks, and it turned out really well.

I love all my birthdays. They're really fun, and my favorite birthday was probably my seventh birthday because I loved how I had two birthday parties with some of my neighbors and some with my friends.  What was your favorite birthday?

The cottage by #Agent6

My family has a cottage down by the beach. It’s where we spend a lot of our summer. The cottage has a very simple-to-explain layout: You walk inside, then to your left is a couch (all the couches here can fold out into beds for extra room) in front of you is a kitchen island, to your right is the dining table and shoe rack (which no one uses). Then you step forward, and behind the kitchen island is the kitchen. Go to your left some more. Then go to your right, you will see another couch (also folds out like I said before). On the right side of the couch there are the bedrooms. I call the left one the red room because of the curtains. There used to be red curtains in the red room, which in daylight would make the room look red. The right room is the yellow room because of the walls.  Now you might think: “Oh agent 6 what room do you sleep in?” Well good question! I either sleep in the yellow room when it's just me and my parents, but when the whole family is there I sleep in the garage. The garage is small but has its own bathroom, so my parents and I don't have to make midnight trips in the cottage and wake everyone else up. The garage has two air mattresses for us: a big one for my parents and a small one for me. The garage gives us major privacy. Across the street from the cottage is the beach. At the beach is the best because you have to own a house on the street to access the private beach, and since we do there's always people we know. We have a huge bonfire at the beach on the 4th of July. I love the jetty at the beach. For people who don't know what a jetty is, it's just rocks in a line to help the tide. The jetty is really fun to climb on!

Activities For Summer And After School by #Agent1

It's the END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR, and this is my last week of homework! I am so excited it makes school so much more fun because when I get home there is no schoolwork waiting for me. I can actually look forward to coming and going to school. With no homework to keep me busy, I am going to have a lot more free time. So the only question left is, "What am I going to do with all this free time?" If this is the end of the school year for you too, you might be asking yourself the same thing. If you are, I have plenty of ideas! I have broken up all of my ideas for activities into categories.

 Cooking

Games

Indoors

I really hope you enjoy one or all of these activities. If you need more choices or ideas Google, YouTube, and Chat GPT are always there to help. Have a good summer!

What is Mount Everest? By #Agent10

In our world, there are many things that formed over land like the Amazon rainforest, being the largest existing rainforest in the world. The are many mountains in the world, Mount Everest is the absolute highest of them all. This mountain is twenty-nine thousand and thirty-two feet from the ground! It is also seven hundred and eighty-four feet from the second largest mountain being K2. Such height makes this mountain reach clouds above, having temperatures extremely low. Mount Everest is a very well known place the world can recognize.

Mount Everest is also part of the Himalayan mountain range. It is located in the borders or between Nepal and Tibet, both in Asia. This mountain was named after George Everest, who was a British surveyor and geographer who studied the mountains. The first ever recorded people to climb it were actually a mountain climber or mountaineer named Edmund Hillary with his Tibetan guide, Tenzing Norgay in 1953. Mount Everest’s height actually came earlier in 1856. Ninety-seven years later before people actually climbed! Climbing the mountain is very hard because of low oxygen, snow and ice, and even avalanches! For my last blog, I didn’t think this was so bad from the first.

Pokemon Emerald by #Agent13

Pokemon Emerald was made in 2004. It is in the Hoenn region. At the start of the game you are in a moving truck. You get out and find Prof. Birch getting MAULED by a level 2 Poochyenna. You grab one of the three starters: Mudkip, Treeko, and Torchic. You pick one and MAUL the Poochyenna. Prof. Birch thanks you and gives you the Pokemon you fought with. You go out into the wilderness and find another Pokemon. They could be Poochyenna, Tailow, and Wurmple. Grab one of these, so you can progress further into the game and PokeDex. You meet your rival, May, and your neighbor and battle. She will always have the type advantage, but you will hopefully be higher leveled. The first gym Roxxanne uses rock types. If you picked Mudkip or Treeko then you will be fine. Then there's Brawly. If you picked up a Taillow on Route 101 then you can destroy Brawly. You might have some difficulties with his Makuhita, but you'll be ok if you have a Taillow. Then when you head to Slateport go in the tall grass and get an Eletrike. Go fish up some Majikarps and DESTROY THEM with Eletrike. He will be leveled up to Manetric. Manectric's electric-steel type helps a lot. This is my blog about Pokemon Emerald. I hope you liked it.

My birthday by #Agent7

My birthday is going really soon, and I’m so excited for it. My mom is going to a baby shower the day of, so I am going to play with my neighbors for a while. I asked my mom if I can get one birthday present that is expensive, and she said maybe. If she said yes then I’m going to get something from Lululemon, but I forgot what I wanted, so I have to lock in and remember it. I asked my mom if I could have a birthday party or something small with friends and my mom said yes. So now I’m going to have a birthday party with ten people! I’m going to invite 7 people from my class and 3 people from this school! My birthday party is going to be at this place that has ziplines, climbing, and many more fun activities. The bad part about my birthday party is that there is no guide to help us with things. I wanted to invite my neighbor who is 7 and knows nothing about this place, but then my mom and I realized that she is too young to do that. I want her to stay safe. I’m going to have my mom tell her mom about all of that, so her mom knows if it’s safe for her or not. My mom asked me if I wanted to have a doughnut cake or have 5/4 dozen of doughnuts. I picked the individual doughnuts because I want everyone to have their own one.

Random things by #Agent2

I couldn't think of any topic to do that I could put in 300 words, so here's some small things. I got a puppy! He's a rottweiler, and his name is Guinness. He's super adorable, but he's in that part of being a puppy where he bites and eats everything. He also seems to not be scared of the water in my pool which is really good because I want him to swim in it! I'm also super excited to go to Mexico this summer! I don't know exactly where we're staying, but I want to try some new Mexican food because I haven't eaten a lot nor tried a lot! I really want the new Yoshi game just from the trailers. It looks good. I don't know much about the game, but there's a book that forgot all of the things inside it. So Yoshi has to venture through land to find cool creatures! I also really want to play the new Lego Batman game. It seems like Lego wants to make more Lego games because there wasn't really a reason to make it, and there hasn't been a new Lego game in awhile. I also want to see the new Backroom movie. It's about a place different from Earth that is an endless maze. The person who's making the movie is the same guy who made the original series. It all started when someone posted an image of places that felt too empty or it feels like you've been there before. Then somebody made a comment about it making it some creepy internet thing, and soon he made the series. People made fan games about it; calling the original image level 1. They made new levels and monsters that are in them. That's really all the random small things that have happened or things I'm excited about, so I hope I do these things or you look into them!

My orchestra party by #Agent15

So I play the violin and piano. I do piano for fun, and I do violin for school. I recently tried out for a music school that people come from far away to do. I didn’t get the results yet, but I have faith. Every year my orchestra teacher holds a party with all of the orchestra students. We order T-shirts to tie die and we have popsicles, cookies, and drinks. It is an after school party, so we go right from our classes to the party in the cafeteria. When we first go there we have to go find our tie die shirts and put elastics on the shirts, so we can make a good tie die design. Before we did that, the teacher put together a video that had all the best pictures from the school year. I had to tie die a different one because my orchestra teacher forgot to make one for me, but that’s okay at least I got to tie die something. Once we did that we put them in bags, and we started playing games. Then she bought out the popsicles. Everybody got two to make it fair. I got a bomb pop and a regular one. Then she got out cookies. I had two. I had a sugar cookie and a chocolate chip cookie. The sugar cookie was so sugary, especially with the icing. Then she got drinks. I got a CapriSon and a Welch’s grape juice. They were so good. I was drinking while I was making the blog! After that we enjoyed more games, and our parents started to arrive. My puppy also came along with my mom to pick me up. My friends said hi to her. That was the orchestra party. I hope you enjoyed learning about my party.

Going to My Friend’s House by #Agent4

I went to my friend's house on Sunday, and my other friend was going there too. At first we put our bathing suits on and wanted to swim, but I did not know that we were going swimming. I didn’t bring my bathing suit but my friend let me borrow one of hers, so I was really happy. It did not fit me that well, but it’s fine. We went to the pool, and it was a little cold. She said the temperature was 73 degrees!! My friend turned the hot tub on, so we were really happy and warm! We were just swimming and sitting in the hot tub for a while, but we got a little bored. We decided to do something else. We grabbed some snacks and then wanted to go to the basement. We went to the basement and watched a show. We watched “The Summer I Turned Pretty.” I liked all of the drama in the show. I had watched it before with my mom but enjoyed watching part of it again. Then it was about the time to go back to my house, so I changed into my clothes. My mom was there to pick me up. We brought my friend to her house too, so it was a fun ride home. It was a great Sunday! I hope I can do that again soon!

What I plan to do over the summer by #Agent20

There are a whole lot of things I want to do over the summer, but that list is too long.  Here are a few things that I want to do.

1. Kayaking: I love kayaking with my family and normally we will bring snacks and have a picnic on an island.

2. Swim in my pool: Swimming is one of my favorite things to do. I love going on floaties and lying in my pool!

3. Go to the Beach: Beaches are amazing! I love watching sunrises or sunsets there. Some of my favorite things to do there are looking for shells and swimming.

4. Go to camp: I go to a lot of camps because I like having something fun to do. My favorite camps are probably Camp Hayward, which is a sleepaway camp that I do with my cousin, and Norfolk Aggie, which is a high school that does different camps. My favorite is probably their dog camp because I get to bring my dog to camp, and I get to train her, do agility with her, take her for walks, and much more! There is even a dog show at the end of the week where dogs compete in obedience and agility. My dog has won first place in both!

5. Go to my Cape house: This year my family got a Cape house. I love it there! The best part about it is that it is so close to everything, and you can walk to the beach!

6. Play sports: Sports are another of my favorite things. My favorites are basketball, field hockey, and boxing. In the summer I play on a team for field hockey and basketball.

How To Succeed in Lacrosse By #Agent5

Lacrosse is one of my favorite sports, and for the past few years, I think I have improved a lot. In this blog, you will learn important tips and tricks if you want to do well in lacrosse.

Number 1: Get a rebounder. The reason that you should get a rebounder is because it will make you so much better at lacrosse. Create a routine and do it every day. It basically rebounds the ball back to you. You can throw fakes and work on your catching and throwing. I didn’t realize that it was an amazing idea, and it would make me so much better at lacrosse. However,  now I am one of the best players on my team just because I spend at least 15 minutes a day on my rebounder.

This is a picture of what my rebounder looks like.

Number 2: Practice outside. The reason that you need to practice outside a lot is because it will also improve your skills. I encourage you to practice with someone else. Practice passing the ball around, doing different drills that involve defense and offensive skills. Also, a big thing is draw controls. A draw in lacrosse happens after someone scores a goal. You go to the middle of the field, and you and a player from the opposing team push your sticks together with the ball inside of it. Then you can see who has possession of the ball. But if you practice against a family member lots of times, you are most likely to win the draw in a game.

Number 3: Focus on your wrist work. You should focus on your wrist work because it has such an outcome in lacrosse! I did not expect that it would help you either, but ever since I started club lacrosse we do so much wrist strength. It has really helped me. Create a routine for it just like the rebounder. Trust me on this! It improves your stick work, helps you on draw controls, helps you in attacking the ball, defending the ball, and really everything in lacrosse. It makes you noticeable in games. You can click this link to see a wrist strength routine by a lacrosse player.

I hope that this has really helped you if you play lacrosse or want to start lacrosse.

My Violin Concert! by #Agent18

On Thursday May 28th I had my last violin concert. First keyboard players went up, then band went up, then orchestra! First the level ones played, then the level two’s played, then the level three’s. I was level three. I played Can Can, Cripple Creek, and Allegro. Then after the level three’s, the people who auditioned and got in played Crazy Train. I was one of those people. For our last song as a whole orchestra we played Mary had a Little Lamb. We were going to play Into the Midnight Forest, and I was happy because I love playing that song. Then she had to switch it because it was too hard for some people. I was mad, but I get why she had to switch it. After the concert my friend and I were going to the varsity lacrosse game next store, but we went to Wendy’s and then went to the game! That was the end of the violin concert, but at the end of the year the orchestra has a party after school. We get popsicles and cookies, and we get to tie-dye shirts. So there is a shirt making competition, and you design your own shirt that has something to do with the orchestra. She picks a winner. Then she has a bunch of those ordered, and if you ordered one you'll tie-die it at the party! That’s the end of my last blog! Hope you liked it!
