Day in the life (all good things) by #Agent21

Welcome back to another blog. This time I’m doing a day in the life of a 5th grader…AT SCHOOL! You heard me not at home or anything AT SCHOOL! First I recognize my friend's car and while it’s 8:01, I go to her car to have a wonderful chat with her mom to see how her day is going and walk to the west side entrance. Sometimes I go to the east side entrance because most of my friends are on the east side, and when I say most of my friends I mean A LOT!

Then I stand outside to talk to my friend or my BESTIE if she is even there. Or sometimes when I’m REALLY early I stand there in awkward silence until I find my other friends. Let’s just say I have a lot of friends.

Later when we are let inside the school at 8:05 I remember that middle school starts at like ....7:20! So I just continue my day walking into the school, being grateful that I don’t have to wake up really early like I did this morning 4/29/24 at 2:07am, and yes it took a very long time to go back to sleep sadly. ANYWAYS I do my daily chat with Mrs. Holster and give her compliments and just check on how she's doing because she’s just so kind and beautiful and makes my day. Mrs. Holster, if you are reading this, I'll see you tomorrow.

When I make my way to the classroom I see my classmates, and we just walk to class today. When we arrives at the class we are all excited to see Jordan for no reason, or for a reason I just can’t remember. Later we just went on with our day, and this time we did social studies. I love social studies. It is just so amazing. Stay tuned for what happens tomorrow! BYE!

Things I like and don't like to do by #Agent10

                                       

I like to do a lot of things, but I have two favorites. Number 6: cleaning my room. I don't like to clean my room, but it's necessary and sometimes fun. My room is always messy, so it mostly needs to be cleaned. Number 5: doing my laundry. I sometimes do my own laundry. When I do my laundry I like to be watching something on my TV or phone to keep me company. Number 4: Playing with my dog. I love to play with my dog. She always gets so rough and growls. Number 3: Playing baseball outside. I like baseball, but I like another sport better. Some positions I play are pitcher and third baseman. I sadly cannot go to baseball because my ankle hurts and the doctor says I can't. Number 2: Video games. I like to play a variety of video games. Most are not school appropriate and have weapons in them, but I won't talk about those.Some that are appropriate are Rocket League, Madden, and Fortnite. Number 1: Playing football. I play football with my friends and family. The positions I play are right guard and left guard. I like football just a little more than baseball. Football is also my favorite sport. Those are things I like and don't like. I hope you enjoyed reading my blog!

Top 3 Famous shoe brands by #Agent20

I will be talking about famous shoe brands in this blog! In this generation shoes are really popular and newer. People love shoes, and I love shoes too. The most popular shoe brand is Nike. It is famous for its beautiful shoe designs and the glorious variety of shoe colors! The second most popular is Reebok but sadly it lost some of its popularity because it had lots of competition with other shoe brands. However, some celebrities still wear the such as Sydney Sweeney, Katie Holmes, and Dakota Johnson. Last but not least is Adidas! They’re popular because they last very long and are well made for everybody! I will be telling you a lot of  fun facts about all the top three famous shoe brands!

• Nike

Nike is the most famous brand because of their clothes, and  shoes.  Nike comes from the Greek Goddess of victory! Their most expensive shoe is the Nike Air Yeezy 1 Grammy. These shoes were made in 2009 because Kayne West and Nike collaborated! Nike is 60 years old today, and it was made on January 15th, 1964. I love Nike because of their amazing designs, different colors, and their clothing brand!!

• Reebok

Reebok has really nice shoes and many celebrities wear them to support their business! The most expensive shoe they have is the Insta Pump Fury, and they also collaborated with Vetemans, which isn’t a very popular and known brand. Reebok isn’t that popular anymore because some people forgot about the brand and bought things from somewhere else that is more popular and known. Reebok is 66 years old, and it was founded in 1958. These shoes are really durable, well made, and last long, but they are not the type of shoes I would personally wear.

• Adidas

Adidas has really good shoes, and I like some of them! This brand is 75 years old and was founded in 1949! Adidas doesn’t have their most expensive shoe, but their most popular one is their Adidas Superstar! Those shoes are really cute, and I would love to get some for myself. In German, Adidas means “all day I dream about sports.” The shoe brand was made by a German person named Adolf Dassler. Their shoes are really comfortable and very fashionable!

What is the best NCAA lacrosse team? By #Agent12

The NCAA has many good teams, but today I will tell you which is my favorite and why. By far my favorite teams are UVA, Maryland, and Notre Dame.

 UVA’s team is very good. The offense is almost unstoppable with the best attackman in the league being Conner Shellenburger and a great defense. UVA is led by head coach, Lars Tiffany, who in 2019 was announced ACC coach of the year. UVA won the championship many times here are just some: 2021 and 2019

Maryland lacrosse team. Maryland has won four championships! For this team you can be rewarded for being the best player on the team by getting to wear the number one on your jersey. This year Ajax Zappitello wears the number one. Luke Wierman taking faceoffs and getting the ball down to the offense makes it easy for Maryland to win. Maryland won the championship in 2022

Notre Dame Fighting Irish. They just won the 2023 championship over Duke. Pat Kavanagh and Chris Kavanagh are brothers on Notre Dame that have scored 44 points together this year. 

Last year I went to Philadelphia to watch Notre Dame play UVA. Notre Dame won and went on to beat Duke and win their first championship ever. I saw the great game live.  

Now that you know what I think about these teams, my favorite is UVA because I love watching them play. Every game is high scoring and exciting! 

Patriots by #Agent18

The Patriots were founded in 1959. They were pretty good  until Robert Kraft bought the Pats 1994. The best coach of all time was hired in the year of 2000. Bill Belichick was the best coach ever. The Patriots won six Super Bowls with Bill and zero Super Bowls without him. The best quarterback

They had a very good quarterback, Drew Bledsoe. He was getting paid the most amount of money as a quarterback. One day he was running the ball and BOOM! He had just got hit with an extreme injury. Then Bill decided to put Tom Brady in for the quarterback. They did very well and won their first Super Bowl. My favorite player also played with Tom Brady and Tedy Bruschi. The patriots just had another Super Bowl win and another. Bill decided he was going to sign Randy Moss, one of the best WRs. The next Super Bowl they were in they had another chance to win it but, Randy had just dropped it. Tom Brady got injured and they almost kicked him out for another qb. They won another Super Bowl again. The sad thing was they signed a very good tight end that killed somebody and went to prison. They drafted another good player, Rob Gronkowski. They won another Super Bowl. Then the biggest Super Bowl of all time the score was 3 to 28. Falcons are up. No team has won under two touchdowns. The Patriots got a couple of touchdowns right after they thought the Falcons already had it. Biggest plays of all time Juialin Edleman had a very bad route. He had it in his hand and dropped it and from one inch away was the ground. He had barely caught it on fourth down. They came through the ball and they caught it. They ran for two points and tied the game. Over time  they beat them. Now Tom Brady and most of them retired. Bill also retired not too long ago. They made a very good show called The Dynasty.

What do I do with my dad by #Agent2

My dad takes me every weekend. With my dad we go throughout Boston. When we choose to eat then we'll eat at a spot. When we are bored we go back to his house to play the PS5 and hold my pet leopard gecko. If we have time we’ll go see my cousins to say hi. The next thing that we’ll do is go SNEAKER SHOPPING! My favorite shop that we go to is in the Emerald Square mall. The shop's name is Expressions. It's unique because they don't just have shoes there. They have shorts there ,so it is not so ordinary Because it has more than most shops in the mall. My older cousin also works there and gives discounts on shoes. After he brings me home then we do it all again. We make more memories and have great times. I personally think everyone should have a good relationship with their parents before it's too late. It's never too late to have a good relationship with your dad or mom or grandpa or grandma or any family member that you have because you could have the most fun time with them or make better memories with them. It could be your last time with them.

Facts about the animal Yeti’s By: #Agent23

Some people believe Yeti’s are real and some people don’t. After this your opinion might change. There is no evidence that Yetis are real, but you have your own opinions. Did you know Yeti sightings have been reported in several countries? The Yeti is an ape-like creature, but its hair is related to a Himalayan brown bear. Another name that people call the Yeti is an abominable snowman. Did you know that there was a man that had been searching for a Yeti for 60 years? One hard day of searching on Mount Everest he found what looked like a Yeti footprint. The Yeti would most likely be found in the Himalayan mountain range made of ice. People say that Yeti’s can be ferocious or friendly. Yetis feed on berries, fruit, leaves, water-plants, fish, rodents, deer, cow, horses, yak, roots, meat, sheep, mosses, frogs,  pikas, and elk. Something you might want to know is Yetis do not eat humans! They have lived in Nepal and Tibet. The first Yeti was seen in 1832! British trekker B. H. Hodgson thought he saw an orangutan, but it looked like a Yeti. He described the creature as covered in long, dark hair. Yetis are abominable snowmen…so of course they love winter. They love snowball fights and hot chocolate and sledding and building snow castles. A Yeti is around 10-20 feet tall! The Yeti is a very shy animal, and they are not very intelligent. These are some amazing facts on Yetis! You have your own opinion on Yetis, but in my opinion I believe in the animal Yetis.

My Birthday By #Agent17

    

So I woke up in the morning remembering that it was my birthday and stayed upstairs knowing that my parents had something in store for me. So I stayed in my room watching TV. An hour and a half later my mom came in and started singing happy birthday to me and I said,¨ Thank you.¨ She went to  Dunkin Donuts to get me a donut. Another twenty minutes went by, and my dad came into my room and said,¨ happy birthday.¨ Later on my mom called me down the stairs. I saw two balloon letters. It was two of them, and they sang happy birthday. There was a bag that said happy birthday. When I opened it there was a sneaker box and clothes,  and when I looked at the shirts they had the Jordan logo on it. I knew what was in the box. When I was done with clothes I moved on to the box. I saw Air Jordans, and I jumped with excitement. I was silent with excitement, and then I gave my mom and dad the biggest hug. But I had two soccer games today. but I powered through it. This is a memorable birthday because I always wanted Air Jordans.

British Shows by #Agent8

My Mom and I are obsessed with these British shows. They are called Downton Abbey, Belgravia, Belgravia The Next Chapter, and The Gilded age. They are so good! I totally recommend them. All three of these shows deal with the life of the extreme upper class, like Dukes and Duchesses and Lords and Ladies. They all also include the life of the servants in the estates as well. 

Downton Abbey is set in the early 1900s right after the Titanic sank. It goes through WWI, which was a hard time for all of the characters. There are six seasons plus two movies, and they are filming another movie now. It has two shocking deaths in the show. There is also a traveling exhibit to set the costumes and set. 

Belgravia starts in 1815 but is mostly in 1841. There was a scandal between two upper class families. You have to watch the show to find out! 

Belgravia The Next Chapter is set in 1871. Thirty years after Belgravia. It shows a young married couple and how hard marriage can be. All of the characters feel so real and like you are actually there with them. 

The Gilded Age is set in 1882. It is so good! It takes place on 5th Avenue. This was one of the reasons I was so excited to go to New York City! Hopefully you get a chance to check out all of these amazing shows!

My first travel soccer practice by: #Agent15

When I woke up this morning there was one thing I had been waiting for for a very long time. It’s my first travel soccer practice! I played for almost a year of normal soccer. Soccer has been my favorite sport since I was three. In this blog I will be explaining all about my soccer practice. Before I started travel soccer I used to play normaI soccer. In the morning I woke up and was really excited! I got out of bed with happiness in me and ate breakfast. I got dressed and washed up and was off to school. After school, I got off the bus and worked on some of this blog and my MCAS math carnival packet. I then started to get ready at five o’clock and got all my equipment on. I headed out the door and headed to the soccer fields. I got there and joined all of my teammates that were ready for the practice. We then started practicing and doing some drills. Then the real test came. We had to do a scrimmage. We played against the B team, but we lost 2-1. It was a close game, but we were still happy we tried. My team and I are looking forward to our first game this Saturday and hoping to win.

My Baseball Tournament by #Agent22

Last weekend I had a baseball tournament for AAU baseball. We had an amazing weekend because my team won the tournament. I played well all weekend. Our first game was on Friday at 9:00 p.m.. We won that game 9-0.  That game was tough on my body because I just came from a select lacrosse game. That might have been the coldest lacrosse and baseball game I have ever played. On Saturday we played against a team named the Northeast Eagles. We won that game 9-3, and that game told us if we were going to the semi finals. The next day was the best baseball I've ever played. To start off the day the other team got up by three runs in the first inning. At the end of the first inning there were two outs and a runner on third base, and I was playing catcher. The runner on third base tripped, so I threw the ball down to third base and got him out. We ended up winning that game 12-3. We were on to the championship game. During my second at bat with a runner on second base…. Crack! I hit a homerun that went about 230 feet. It was my second ever homerun.

Work (Part 1)! by #Agent5

My dad owns two businesses. The first one is a car shop, and the second one is a supermarket. They are both located in Rhode Island!!! I am lucky enough to have a dad that lets me go there and help out! That is what I did!!! On a crisp Saturday morning I woke up, and I asked my dad if I could go to work with him that day and help out. He finally said yes! I was so excited to go, and plus he needed the help! I put on my clothes and my shoes. I got in the car, and we started a one hour drive all the way to Rhode Island! My dad had his stop at Honey Dew, AGAIN. He let me get a hot chocolate and a bagel, which was sooo good. I LOVE BAGELS!!! When we arrived I already knew my dad had gotten new cars from the auctions he goes through everyday except for Saturday and Sundays. “There are no auctions on the weekends,” Said my dad. But thank God because I wouldn’t be able to go to work if I didn’t! I obviously got handed papers to put into the system, and I finally got to add cars into the system! I was so excited because I haven’t got to do that since third grade! Then I walked outside to get some fresh air, and then my dad brought me to the supermarket!

My April Vacation by #Agent14

For my April Vacation my family and I will be going to Myrtle Beach! We have gone there once before. It was so fun, and I am so excited to go again. But it is a pain to get there! We have to get up at three in the morning to get on the road, and we are driving for the whole day! I think the very long drive is worth it! I have a lot of new clothes that my mom and I bought for the trip, and I have more than enough clothes. I love sitting on the beach and going in the water, and I go in the water so much my parents say I am their mermaid. It is an amazing nickname! I don't always want to go in the water. I like playing in the sand too! They are equally as fun! I do know that we are going to a murder mystery diner show. A dinner show is a place where you watch a live show with real people acting while you eat. It is so suspenseful and exciting! My family and I have gone to one before. It was a medieval times dinner show. For the medieval times one you get a crown and a knight to cheer on and you want your knight to win. If your knight wins they will pick a girl in the crowd, and she will be the queen of love and beauty. Well I was just clapping and really happy because my knight won! But then he pointed at me. Right then a worker gave me a crown and a purple sash that said queen of love and beauty. I was so excited! I walked out of there so proud and confident like I could do anything. Anyways I am so excited to go to Myrtle Beach again, and maybe my next blog will be about my trip to Myrtle Beach.

Football is one of the younger and newer sports only being 136 years old and was invented by Walter Camp. Did you know that (pop singer) Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce is on the Kansas City Chiefs? The two teams in the SuperBowl this year were the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs. The Kansas City Chiefs won the SuperBowl this year.

2. Baseball: Babe Ruth is one of the best baseball players. A baseball field is called a diamond because it is shaped like a diamond. Did you know the first ever baseball game took place in 1846?

3. Basketball: At first in basketball you weren't allowed to dribble. You could only hold the ball. Basketball is called basketball because the goal of the game is to get the ball in the basket.

4. Soccer: Soccer is more than 2,000 years old. Did you know that in The United States Of America soccer is called soccer, but in some other countries and places around the world they call it football because you play soccer with your feet?

I think that these are the most popular sports because people talk about them the most.

Musical part 2 by #Agent21

Welcome back to a day in the life as a person who performs in musicals but also a fifth grader part 2! First I woke up and rushed immediately to school because it was my performance. After I got dropped off by my mom I ran with my friend Kaila to the door. We were excited. We started off by complimenting each other on our outfits and were freezing in the cold.

Later we walked carefully to our class, but first I started my daily chat with Ms. Holster because we like to check on what's new and what we are doing on the weekends. She wished me good luck and broke a leg because in theater you have to wish someone bad luck for good luck. You also might not start on time for good luck. I know it's confusing, but really enjoyable!

After I finished my goals I went to Ms. Steinbach’s room early with my fellow classmates. It turns out we were supposed to wait and go to the multi-purpose room, which was kind of funny. When I arrived I saw all my friends there! They looked so astonishing in their costumes! She gathered everyone in a BIG group, and I thought in my mind, “QMS here I come!” I did wonderful, but I was extremely nervous. So I might’ve talked extremely fast because that was my FIRST PERFORMANCE! I had 2 on Friday, April 5,2024. One was at 9:15 for school the other was at 7:00. Honestly now that it is done, the first performance was nerve-racking, but when I got used to it, it was pretty nice to experience being in a musical and congratulations to me!

Boston Marathon by #Agent3

My dad loves to run, so when the race season starts he gets super excited. When the weather is nice, I love to ride my bike next to him. My dad has been training for the Boston Marathon for twenty weeks. He has done around seven Boston Marathons, and around eighteen marathons over all. Last year, he placed 262 out of around 16,000 men, and 25th out of his age group. Also, I had a friend come over last year to watch the marathon, and it was ten times better. So this year I am having her come over again. To get to the race, we take the train and the subway to get to the right spot to be able to see my dad. The subway is always crowded and super hot because of all the people. Last year we were so crammed in the subway we couldn’t move at all! My dad is super fast and competitive when it comes to games and races. This year I am going to cheer so loudly that Japan will hear me! I hope my dad will get first place, but that probably won’t happen. As long as he’s happy, I will be too. Stay tuned because I will post about his race next time!

The Man! The Myth! The Monkey! by #Agent19

I figured out that it wasn't about the riddle at all. It was about the note. If you look closely at the words you could see words behind them. These words spelled Mount Hikari, April 10th, 2024. That was tomorrow.  

Mount Hikari was a place where mom and I used to go. At the top of the mountain you can see the beautiful trees that cover the great city of Harinsinburge. I knew that this is where I had to be tomorrow. 

The only thing was that the letter didn't say what time to go or where on the mountain I should be. I just had to hope for the best. Auntie won’t even notice I’m gone. Half the time I have to put food on our plates at night and watch her sit on the couch staring into the soul of the tv. If she somehow realizes that I’m gone she wouldn’t even care. 

April 10th, 2024. I woke up at 4:00 in the morning having to get ready to go. I made myself a bowl of cereal and packed my bags. Auntie was still dead asleep on the couch in the exact same spot she was in last night. 

After a long journey swinging from tree to tree I made it, Mount Hikari. It took me all morning to get here, but I hope it was worth it. I ran around on my knuckles and hind legs for a little while before I spotted her. “Mom!” I shouted. It seemed like she couldn’t even see me. I shouted her name more times and ran up to her, but she did nothing. I soon then realized why she wasn’t moving or looking at me. This couldn’t be true.

South Carolina by #Agent1

         It is almost April vacation! I will be traveling to South Carolina, and I am so excited! Two years ago I went to South Carolina, and it was so fun. I went with one of my best friends, and we went to the beach, roller coaster parks. We went on a ferris wheel that was supposed to be on the beach, so you could see the ocean when you were on it. My best friend’s mom could not see the ocean, and I saw another ferris wheel on the beach. We realized we were not on the ferris wheel we wanted to ride. We ended up driving over to go to the ferris wheel on the beach. Last time we went to South Carolina our hotel was right on the beach! You could go on the deck, and you could see the beach! We drove when we went two years ago, and we are driving again. This time instead of going with one of my best friends we are going with just the family because my dad got the week off of work. Our family friends are going to check on my cat and send me pictures because I will miss him a lot. The pictures are going to help, but I am still going to miss him. I will probably  give him a new toy before I leave so he won’t be so sad. I love going to South Carolina! I am so happy we are going back  this year.                            

 

The Solar Eclipse By: #Agent16

There was so much suspense in the air. When was the eclipse? Would our glasses work? What if we missed it? The thoughts rushed through my head. We haven’t had an eclipse in so long. I checked the time for probably the twentieth time that minute because my mom said, “You're not going to miss it. We still have ten more minutes until it starts to happen.” 

“Yeah, but it takes ten minutes to get home,” I replied. She thought of that for a minute. I could tell she was thinking about what to say next. After a couple more seconds of silence I asked, “Mom, can we stop at the fields and watch it from there? I know a spot at the field that makes it look so exceptional. I know we might miss the start, but it’s the end that counts right?”

“Ok, you’re right. We can go to the fields.” Yes! I thought to myself. 

We got to the parking lot and rushed outside. My mom and I quickly put on our glasses and looked up. We were just in time. I saw as the moon completely covered the sun, and I took off my glasses. It was so dark. Now I can say yes if anyone asks me if I have witnessed totality.

Dinosquad by #Agent6

In this blog, I will talk about a game that you probably do not know at all. You might even be scratching your head right now wondering what the heck I'm talking about. But don’t worry because I will tell you all about the  game.

Dinosquad is a video game where you are a dinosaur with a gun, and you fight other dinosaurs with guns. But that’s not it. It’s not some stupid copy off of Fortnite. I think it is a really fun game. Also, it’s really different from Fortnite because:

• There’s not a “loadout.”

• There’s towers that score you points if you capture it.

• It’s not a free for all.

• There’s armor.

• You wield two guns at the same time (mostly.)

• There’s a limit of 10 minutes per game.

• There’s less then 100 players per game (by a lot).

The dino names and powers:

• Revealing: This Raptor has a shotgun on its back.

• Wasp: This Raptor shoots acid balls.

• Mosquito: This Raptor has an acid sniper rifle on its back.

• Planck: This Raptor has a laser beam on its back.

• Primarch: This Ankylosaurus has two machine guns on its sides.

• Scarab: This Ankylosaurus has two acid guns on its sides.

• I don’t know the name of this Ankylosaurus, but I do know that It has laser beams on its sides.

• I don’t know the name of this Parasaurolophus, but I do know that It shoots sniper bullets. 

• I don’t know the name of this Parasaurolophus, but I do know that it shoots acid bullets.

• I don’t know the name of this Parasaurolophus, but I do know that it shoots laser beams.

• Scorcher: This Carnotaurus shoots fire.

• Mantis: This Carnotaurus shoots acid in the way a shotgun would.

The Beach House by #Agent9

Today I am going to the beach house. My family always makes it a tradition that we will go to a beach house every year in the summer. We have never broken the tradition. I MEAN NEVER! My favorite part of the summer is probably this because it is really the only fun thing I do in the summer. This is the best thing because I really just sit at my house all summer and play video games. As we are driving to the house we sing our favorite song when we hear Micheal Jackson on the radio. Finally we arrived at the house. It had a huge backyard with a big front porch. It also had a hammock. When I went into the house it was just like I remembered. It had a gray couch and a very old kitchen. As I went up stairs they began to creak. Creak! Creak! When I went to my room it had all of the things I left there last year. It had a jar of seashells and a lot of books. I mean a lot of books! All the books were very dusty.

After we unpacked all of our stuff we went to the beach. It took us about five minutes to get there. When we got there it was like you're in a fairy tail because the beach had no seaweed nor seagulls. We walked around the beach to see if anything was new, but there was nothing. On the way back we say a neighbor and he said, ‘’ Welcome back!’’ When we got home we had dinner and watched the sunset. The sunset was just the ones you see in a movie. It had birds in front and a sailboat.

Some people think of racoons, while others think of pandas. Right now it is in the pandas class. Red pandas eat bamboo, fruit, insects and grubs. Red pandas are fun and playful. Red pandas live up to 23 years. Red pandas eat about 2 to 4 pounds a day. Did you know red pandas are maybe the first pandas to exist. There are about 2500 to 10000 red pandas left in the world. Red pandas can jump about 1.5 meters from branch to branch. Red pandas are intelligent animals. Red pandas are shy and solitary animals exempt for breeding time. Red pandas predators are snow leopards and martens. Red panda females are called sow, and the males are called boars. Buying a red panda is illegal. Wild Red pandas only live in Asia. Red panda fossils were found in North America. Master Shifu from Kung Fu Panda is a red panda. Red panda is a nocturnal animal. Did you know the Red pandas are most active during winter?
