Tis The Season…What Season? By #Agent22

You hear “tis the season” a lot, especially this time of year. People use “tis the season” only to refer to Christmas. Unless you are with my mom and her friends, where “tis the season” means someone is sick. But I think “tis the season” should refer to every season. We live in New England; we’ve got all 4!

For example, we can use “tis the season” for spring, summer, fall, and winter. For spring, it could be “tis the season” for allergies. Summer could be “tis the season” for this heat wave. Fall could be “tis the season” to clean up all those leaves! And winter, “tis the season” to be jolly. Falalalalalalala.

My favorite seasons are the tweasons. A tweason is in the middle of two seasons, like summer/fall, fall/winter, winter/spring, spring/summer. I like them because it is not too hot and not too cold; it is in the middle. I could wear pants and a T-shirt or sweatshirt and shorts. It is usually time to be amped up for the next weather change like “snow is coming,” “beach weather is coming,” and being able to get excited about it.

I like every season overall. Not one is my personal favorite. I like winter because there is snow, and it can still feel warm because of the holidays. I like fall because you get to see the stars early, and the leaves changing color are really pretty. I like summer because you can see the sunset and stay up later when it is not dark. I like spring because you are doing a lot of fun stuff at school like field trips and field day… and it is my birthday!

So, I have a question for you, what is your favorite season and how would you use “tis the season”?

Forecast- more fun coming soon,

Octopus by #Agent19

Octopuses are known as one of the smartest animals in the ocean. Their eight tentacles, three hearts, and amazing brain are all things that make them so interesting and unique!

Body

An octopus’s body is made up of about 70% muscle and zero bones, so they can squeeze through the tiniest openings. They also have a beak, right where their tentacles meet, which is the only hard part of their bodies.  An octopus’s tentacles are covered with hundreds of suction cups. Octopuses can actually control each and every suction cup because of neurons in their arms. These neurons in each arm, act like mini-brains controlling tentacles without the actual brain telling them to.

Defense

Octopuses can:

  • Change their color like chameleons

  • Alter their skin texture to match coral, rocks, or sand

  • Blend into their surroundings so much that they're nearly invisible.

And when they’re threatened, they may:

  • Shoot and distract predators with a cloud of ink

  • Use jet propulsion, which is forcing water out of its body to move faster.

These qualities help them escape and stay safe from predators.

Hunting

Octopuses are carnivores, so they eat other animals.

For example, they eat crabs, lobsters, fish, clams, shrimp, and mussels. They usually hunt at night, using their suction cups and eyesight to hunt down their prey.

Habitats

Octopuses can live in a variety of underwater environments:

  • Coral reefs

  • Sea floor crevices

  • Kelp forests

  • Rocky coastlines

  • Deep sea trenches

The majority of the species live alone in hiding places and dens.

Fun Facts

  • Every octopus is venomous, but the Blue Ringed octopus is the only one lethal for humans.

  • Octopuses have three hearts, two for its gills and one for the rest of its body.

  • Small octopuses only live for about six months to two years, and bigger ones live for three to five years.

The Sports Right Now by #Agent8

Hello readers! This is my 3rd blog post so far, and it is about sports. If we have any baseball players or fans, then you might like to know that a few weeks ago, the Milwaukee Brewers won the 2026 World Series! That was their first time ever to win a World Series! They played against the Tampa Bay Rays, who only won one of the 5 games they played while the Milwaukee Brewers pushed through the games and in result, crushed it! Ok, onto soccer. Who out there is a Messi fan? Well, the other day, November 1st, 2026, Messi’s Miami international team played the Revolution soccer team in Gillette Stadium. Miami won 2-1 with your man Messi scoring the game winning goal. Revs scored first, but it went downhill from there. They did score a second goal, but it was offside! It was crazy! Next up: football. In my first blog, I said that the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers were the top teams. Now the Seattle Seahawks have gone down, and it is the Buffalo Bills up top with the non-stop San Francisco 49ers! The San Francisco 49ers haven't won a Super Bowl in 31 years and are ready to win another one. But the Buffalo Bills are more determined than ever with no Super Bowls ever won! I am sorry that I did not get to a lot of sports, but maybe someone else will mention them! That’s all for now. Bye!

My Cat Part 2 by #Agent25

It has been one month since I got Callie. Today I am going away. It is the first time I am leaving my cat overnight. She is completely unaware of this. That it kind of makes it funny. She is very interested in looking at my bag. Though she has no clue what it is for. It is for a New Year’s party. It is overnight. Tonight I stayed up until midnight! I am worried about her, but I know she is fine. I won’t see her for a few more days. This morning there was a blizzard. The first thing I thought about was if Callie would be okay. I really hope so.

Phew! Callie is Ok! I was so worried. This shows that she can be left alone. I hope she doesn’t get used to not having me to snuggle. I got Callie a treat today, and she really liked it. I am going away soon. I am hoping she doesn’t get into too much trouble while I am gone. This time I am going skiing with some friends. I thought about teaching Callie how to ski. Though that probably wouldn’t end well. I hope Callie will be able to stay by herself all these nights. I know she will do well. I can’t believe it has been two months since I got Callie!

Halloween by #Agent15

This Halloween I went with my little cousin down my street. I was planning to be a pirate but then decided to save that for next year because we had an inflatable dinosaur costume that we could use that was old and needed to be through out any way. There was a little issue because one of the batteries wasn't working, so we had to find a new one. We found a battery, and the dinosaur started to blow up.  After it fully inflated we started walking down the street. My cousin was overly excited because he loved his costume so much (his costume was a power ranger). We went all the way down the street this year since he's bigger now. I had never gone to these houses before, and one of the houses made us sing before we got our candy! My little cousin thought this was very funny and would not stop talking about it. We were half way done when my dinosaur costume broke, so I had to finish trick or treating with no costume. Then one of our last houses had a really steep hill, and we were running down it. All of a sudden my little cousin tripped, and he got really upset because he also dropped his candy. I felt bad, so I gave him a piggy back for some of the way home. We finished trick or treating, and I got around a hundred pieces of candy. And that was my Halloween.

Trick or treating with my friends by #Agent21

This year I did something completely different than every other year. I went trick or treating in someone else’s neighborhood. With a few of my friends, we wore costumes that included  Ghost Face, Freddy Krueger, and a skeleton. The neighborhood was massive, and when I say that I mean huge. There were so many houses on the street that gave the king size bars out, and because I have braces I just stocked up on Reese’s peanut butter cups. When we got home we dumped our candy out and counted how many full size Reese’s we got. I had the most with 22 of them. They were all just laughing at how much of it I had. My older brother tried to get one of them without me noticing and eat it, but he only ate on a Reese's cup. I was still so sad that I only had 21 full size bars left. Then one of my friends left because it was getting late. So my friend, my brother, and I were just playing with all sorts of things. Then my older brother was swinging around a squishy that my friend had and accidentally hit the edge of the table, and it popped everywhere. The TV had the insides of a squishy on it, the mantle/fireplace, the rug, my pants, and the table. All of us were trying our hardest not to laugh, but we couldn’t control ourselves. You should have seen it before we cleaned it up. It was hysterical. So we had to clean it all up before we left. That was our punishment. We did not leave until 10:30 at night, but I wouldn’t regret a single thing that happened because we all had fun.

The Ancient Lego Temple Part 2: Deep In The Jungle by #Agent12

Upon their success in capturing the Temple's emperor, they have yet to realize their next enemy gazes upon them at this very moment. Part two: Deep in the jungle

As they ventured deeper into the forest they kept encountering and slaying giant insects. “Man what is up with this place?” one ninja said.

“Yeah I know,” The other said.”

“Mwahaha, you guys will meet your demise soon.” “You will be the one ending if you keep talking smack,” one of the ninjas said. Then a trapdoor opened beneath them. As they descended deeper and deeper. Thump! As they fell into the deep pit. “Ugh where am I?” The crafty one said. “IDK,” said the other ninja. Then they encountered an eerie figure with a dark presence. “You caannoot get anyyy closer,” The figure said in his rigid voice. “WE WILL SEE!” Both ninjas exclaimed. Then they both pulled out their weapons. The figure pulled out to what seemed to be a hollow scythe. They clashed and clanged, and at that moment the ninjas noticed something the hollow scythe had fire on it. Then one the ninja was struck. But at the same time a rusty pipe burst, and there was gas in it. And that's how they found themselves in the cross fire of an explosion.

Stay tuned for part three!
